PK is an urban band based out of Atlanta and Los Angeles. The trio consists of ACE, MOTOWN and FINANCE. PK was formed as an outlet and outreach, creating compositions that captivate ears of music lovers everywhere. Their music is appealing and attracting audiences of all genres, ages, and generations.
The group originally met as freshmen in college at Georgia State University. Ace and Finance both attended the business school, and Motown the university’s school of music. While in college, Ace and Motown got their first experience in the music industry, through interning for an Atlanta based record label. Finance, still focused on his path of marketing and advertising, interned for a public relations firm. The intern experience not only sparked an interest for these gentlemen, but helped them realize a passion that would manifest at a later time.
Post-graduation they began working together on music that would give birth to their first song “Superhero (Go!).” A member of the community heard the song and asked the men to perform it at a local community venue. They would perform the song for a crowd of less than 20 people. But everything happens for a reason. “There were probably 10-15 people there but we performed as if there were a packed house,” said Finance. The group’s performance definitely paid off. A woman in the crowd loved their performance so much that she would invite them to perform at her event in front of over 500 people. And thus, PK was born.
In today’s world, life has become a continuous story of trials and tribulations, stress and struggle, pain and problems. PK provides music that soothes the ears, in an effort to help cope and handle the effects of life issues and current events. They create compositions that cross many genres as it mixes pop, rock, hip hop, and soul. Visit the links below for PK music and information.
HOOK With Your love our cup overflows We can mount up on wings like eagles and soar With You love, I will always survive I can do anything with You by my side With Your love
(Lasanna) Naw, this ain't your ordinary love song It's bigger than the person that you got a crush on Naw, this ain't that say “I do” love “Hit a rough patch”… “Throw in the towel”… “I'm through” love? Naw, this is that Imma stay true love So faithful that you're thankful for this new love So grateful that you're able to improve love New sun shining, so embrace it with a true hug A shoulder to cry on… no shrug A Cross to die on… cold blood But it gives life I heard Jesus wept… I guess real men cry It's coming down my eye Your love
VERSE 2 (Brian) I try to lean not to my own understanding I need Your help so I can be a better man And I'm a rookie, I know You're a veteran That's why I count on You to always help me comprehend I seen divorce work, I seen marriage fail So when I think of love, I just think of jail But you took the Cross, I guess you paid the bail So I close my eyes and let my heart tell I worship You I worship You I worship You I worship You
