Biography
The Hero Bros (Dave and Mike) are two Puerto Rican, Dominican and Egyptian brothers who grew up in a small beach town of Clearwater, FL. They were born into a musical family with a grandfather that moved from the Dominican Republic to New York at the age of 22, in the late 1920’s with his wife and three children. On the front page of the New York Times, after playing the world famous Stork Club in 1932 with his orchestra, it read, “Luis Herrero brings the Meringue to New York.”Now the Herrero Brothers, known to the Chicago community as “The Hero Bros” continue their grandfather’s legacy, in Chicago, IL.
